Woodland Strawberry occurs naturally throughout the Northern Hemisphere. Other names for this species include the Wild Strawberry, European Strawberry.

Typically found along trails and roadsides, embankments, hillsides, stone and gravel laid paths and roads, meadows, young woodlands, sparse forest, woodland edges and clearings.

For these ones I knew just where to find them. (you don't have to be a genius to find them, just keep your eyes open while walking along the road) A straw makes them easy to carry along if you don't have a basket and why on earth would you bring a basket for fruits that are sized 0,5-1 cm.
